As a Care Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing care plans, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
Duties
Supervise and lead a team of care staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
Develop, implement, and regularly review individualised care plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each resident.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
Conduct regular assessments of residents' needs and preferences, adjusting care plans as necessary.
Drive initiatives that promote resident engagement and well-being within the care home.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, guidelines, and best practices in senior care.
Maintain accurate records of resident care and staff performance, ensuring confidentiality is upheld at all times.
Facilitate training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills in delivering quality care.
Experience
Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a senior care setting is essential.
Strong IT skills for maintaining records and managing documentation effectively.
Proven ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with residents, families, and colleagues.
Experience in developing care plans that reflect the individual needs of residents is highly desirable.
A commitment to continuous professional development in the field of senior care is advantageous.
