Job Description

How will you contribute?

o Coordinate and facilitate safety training sessions for employees/contractors, including induction training and ongoing refresher courses.
o Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and corrective actions, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
o Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, and collaborate with relevant teams to develop and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.
o Manage the distribution centre's safety equipment inventory, ensuring adequate supply and compliance with relevant standards.
o Liaise with internal auditors to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
o Support the HSE Manager in the development and maintenance of emergency response plans and procedures, including evacuation drills and first aid drills.
o Prepare and complete daily and monthly reports on health, safety, and environmental metrics, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and areas for improvement
o Assist in maintaining documentation and records related to HSE activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
o Assist in coordinating various meetings, including committee gatherings, by overseeing scheduling, logistics, and participant communication. Undertake general administrative tasks such as data
entry.

What will you bring?



o Proven experience in a similar role within the distribution or logistics industry, with a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels of the organisation.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with safety management software is preferred.
o Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment
