Greenfield Engineering is a leading sheet metal contract manufacturer. Operating some of the most advanced automated manufacturing technology in the industry. We presently employ 100 staff over two sites. The role involves dual responsibilities from H&S to Training listed below are some of the key responsibilities. As a business we're committed to advancing qualifications and skills by providing additional training opportunities when required.

Job Summary:

To develop, implement, and maintain the company's health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and to co-ordinate and deliver training to promote a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities:

v Develop, implement and enforce health & safety policies and procedures.

v Apprentice training reviews and assessments.

v Conduct periodic shopfloor audits, inspections, across departments to identify potential hazards.

v Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.

v Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to employees when required.

v Maintain accident and incident records and report to relevant authorities if required.

v Assist in the development and maintenance of emergency response plans.

v Control and maintain the company's training matrix with production manager.

v Support internal audits and assist with external auditor.

v Monitor and report on KPIs related to Health & Safety.

v Prepare and present reports to senior management meetings.

v Monthly meeting with the Operations Director.

v Maintain documentation and records to be always audit ready

v Promote a positive safety culture that drives initiatives that improve operational performance.

v Coordinating and updating risk assessments, ensuring clear understanding from the team.

Stay up-to-date on industry safety trends, best practises, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications/Skills:

v Professional qualification such as a NEBOSH General certificate or equivalent

v A minimum level 3 CIPD qualification (desired)

v Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs

v Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a health, safety & training role ideally in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

v Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks.

Hours of work: Monday-Thursday (08.00 - 17.00)

Friday (08.00 - 14.00)

Holiday Entitlement - 28 days (including bank holidays)

Absence bonus scheme (after qualifying period)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00-40,000.00 per year
