About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to support the implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of health and safety practices across our operations. This part-time role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact in a growing industrial and beverage gas business.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and review the company's health and safety policy and procedures in line with UK legislation (HSE guidelines, ISO 45001 preferred). Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections (cylinder depot, bulk CO2 distribution, forklift operations). Support compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards (e.g. COSHH, DSEAR, ATEX etc). Liaise with department heads and line managers to promote a strong safety culture. Deliver or coordinate toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions. Investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents, ensuring appropriate reporting and follow-up actions. Keep accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training. Assist with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance as required. Support the Managing Director and Operations Director with audit preparation, emergency planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct regular site walkarounds and audits, and action findings as required.

Requirements:Essential:

NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) At least 2 years of experience in a Health and Safety role, preferably in a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment Strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation Excellent communication, organisation, and report-writing skills Ability to work independently and manage priorities Competent in Microsoft Office and health & safety management systems

Desirable:

Experience in gas, chemical, or transport sectors ISO 45001 implementation or auditing experience First Aid or Fire Marshal trained
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.00-17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
