Healthcare Support Worker (Full-Time, On-Site - Glasgow)




We are seeking an empathetic, patient-focused

Healthcare Support Worker

to join our multidisciplinary team, which includes pharmacists, nurse prescribers, dietitians, and GPs. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth of a fast-paced, digital-first healthcare service and help support patients in managing their treatment journeys safely and effectively.


This is a full-time, on-site role based at our

Glasgow dispensing hub

.


The role is based on a rota of

5 days over 7

and will include some

weekend working

.

We are looking for people to start - 8th of September or 6th of October 2025.



Salary



26,000 - 30,000 per annum

, depending on experience (DOE)

About the Role




As a

Healthcare Support Worker

at Simple Online Healthcare, you'll play a vital part in delivering patient-centred support through clear communication and effective coordination. You will be primarily responsible for engaging with patients over the phone to answer questions related to their medication orders, treatment plans, or general queries, providing reassurance and guidance within your scope. You'll work alongside our clinical and operations teams to ensure high standards of service and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities



Patient Communication

: Respond to inbound and outbound calls, providing support and information to patients about their medication orders and treatment process.

Patient Guidance

: Offer general, non-clinical support regarding treatment timelines, order queries, and prescription requirements in line with company protocols.

Escalation Management

: Identify cases that require clinical input and escalate appropriately to the pharmacist or prescriber team.

Data Entry & Records

: Accurately document interactions with patients in the system, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and internal policies.

Patient Follow-ups

: Support the coordination of callbacks and appointment reminders, ensuring patients are fully informed at each step of their treatment.

Team Collaboration

: Work closely with pharmacy, clinical, and operations teams to support a smooth end-to-end journey for patients.

Service Improvement

: Contribute feedback to help improve patient interaction processes and overall service delivery.

What We're Looking For



Qualifications



NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting)

Experience



Previous experience in a healthcare, community care, call-centre, or pharmacy support role is desirable Comfortable working in a role that includes a significant volume of phone-based patient contact Experience dealing with sensitive information in a professional, confidential manner
