About the role
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to play a key role in the operational management of the Home Alarm Service (HEART) within Adults, Wellbeing & Culture Directorate but some work will also span across the whole organisation linked to our new Assistive Technology Library in line with agreed corporate priorities. The role will provide effective and high-quality customer service both with internal and external partners, people with lived experience, and our own staff group.
You will manage a team of HEART Installation Officers, Response Officers, and support service provision within the Home Alarm Call Centre. The role of a manager within the HEART team is wide with various amounts of different knowledge required for the smooth running of the service. We need to ensure the service is fully functional from a digital perspective as soon as possible and certainly prior to January 2027 when the whole of the telephone network with move to digital.
Ideally you would have experience in staff management, long with knowledge & usage of assistive technologies to support independence to enable people to remain in their homes for as long as it is possible.
Please note that the role will follow a rota which will cover 365 days per year, therefore working weekends, Christmas, New year, and other bank holidays as part of the rota pattern will be expected
