Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a comprehensive understanding of heating systems. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating equipment in both residential and commercial settings. The successful applicant will be committed to delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair various heating systems including heat pumps, radiators, and underfloor heating. Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify issues with heating equipment. Use power tools and hand tools effectively to assemble components and carry out repairs. Collaborate with other heating engineers to carry out fault finding Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and working in confined spaces. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally. Investigate efficiency levels of heating systems and ways to improve them. Liase with customers to ensure they understand how to use controls effecticely.

Skills

Proficient in soldering techniques and the use of power tools. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. Experience in carpentry is advantageous for integrating heating systems into existing structures. Driving licence. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve heating system issues effectively. Ability to assemble components accurately according to specifications. Capable of performing heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs. Familiarity with plumbing systems is beneficial for integrated heating solutions.
