Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while fostering a positive environment for those in our care.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support individuals in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in activities. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Follow individual care plans meticulously to meet the specific needs of each resident. Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Document any changes in residents' conditions or behaviours accurately and promptly. Drive to various locations as required for home care assignments.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with residents and team members. Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately. IT skills for maintaining records and documentation are advantageous. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations. A caring attitude with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in your care.
