Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join one of our clients in a nursing home. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a caring nature, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as necessary, adhering to dietary requirements. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care. Follow individual care plans meticulously while adapting to the changing needs of clients. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their comfort during transportation.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; we welcome candidates who are eager to learn. A good command of English is necessary for effective communication with clients and team members. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided. A valid driving licence is desirable for those who may need to transport clients.
