Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in home care settings or care homes. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity while providing emotional support. Follow individual care plans to meet the specific needs of each client. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Document and report any changes in clients' conditions or needs to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members. Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not mandatory. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients when necessary. Ability to follow care plans meticulously and adapt to changing client needs. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
