We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems across various commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities
Install, service, and repair a wide range of heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating.
Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of heating equipment.
Diagnose faults accurately and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing techniques to carry out repairs and installations.
Read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to execute tasks precisely.
Perform heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with clients to assess their heating needs and provide professional advice on system upgrades or replacements.
Maintain detailed records of work carried out for compliance and future reference.
Ensure all work complies with current building regulations and safety standards.
Skills
Proven experience with welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly work.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised mechanical equipment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of heating systems and related components.
Ability to perform basic maths calculations for measurements and system specifications.
Experience with heavy lifting safely handling large or bulky items.
Valid commercial driving licence is desirable for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
