Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in heating systems installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Heating Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that heating systems operate efficiently and safely in residential and commercial settings.

Responsibilities



Install, maintain, and repair heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating. Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics of heating equipment to identify issues. Perform necessary repairs using hand tools and power tools. Weld components as needed for system installations or repairs. Plumb new installations and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Assemble heating units and ensure proper functioning upon completion. Lift heavy equipment and materials safely during installation or maintenance tasks. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, to complete projects effectively. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.

Skills



Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to heating system installation and repair. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex heating issues. Basic maths skills for calculations related to installations and repairs. Experience in commercial driving is advantageous for transporting equipment to job sites. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations or maintenance tasks. Familiarity with plumbing techniques related to heating systems is preferred. Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.

Pay: 22.00-23.00 per hour
