About the Role



The successful Heating Engineer will provide commercial and domestic gas, heating and building services engineering maintenance to a variety of clients, predominately within the rail industry, throughout Scotland. This will include repairs, maintenance (reactive & pre-planned), fault finding and installation.

The successful candidate will be based in Inverness, but may be required to work on job sites throughout the whole of Scotland.

This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, with a basic working week of 40 hours.

Role Responsibilities



Responsible for commercial combustion, heating and HVAC bias PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the Helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are always met and exceeded Responsibility for other types of building services maintenance, to include fabric, HVAC, mechanical and other related tasks Repairing and replacing various mechanical and heating plant and associated accessories Compliance inspections of existing equipment and works carried out To provide call-out response for the client as detailed on the call-out rota To undertake new installations, major and minor repair works to clients heating systems Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant including basic fault finding Ensure that all heating equipment within scope operates to specified performance criteria To provide a professional service at all time and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction Ensuring compliance with HSQE regulations, risk assessments, etc.

What we are looking for



Qualifications



Commercial Gas Qualifications, e.g. TPCP1A, ICPN1, CIGA1 Domestic Gas Qualifications, e.g. CCN1, CENWAT1, CPA1, ICAE1 Gas Safe Registered City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, HVAC, or related discipline Full, UK Driving Licence

Experience



Relevant experience in providing commercial gas and heating related building services maintenance, including maintenance, fault finding and installation. Experience in providing reactive and pre-planned maintenance services. Experience of working under strict health & safety legislation and procedures, including dynamic risk assessments. Experience working within the rail industry would be desirable, but not deemed as essential. Full training and certification would be provided for the successful candidate.
