Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Duties

Install, service, and repair various heating systems including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating. Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing tools to carry out installation and repair tasks. Perform maintenance work on existing heating infrastructure, identifying faults and implementing effective solutions. Assist with system assembly and component fitting in new installations. Carry out heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely and efficiently. Maintain detailed records of work performed for client documentation and compliance purposes. Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and standards.

Skills

Proficient in welding, plumbing, carpentry, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and system diagnostics. Experience with assembly processes related to heating systems or similar mechanical components. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods. Valid commercial driving licence is desirable for transportation between sites. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Good organisational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently. This position requires a proactive approach to work with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Candidates should be prepared to undertake ongoing training to stay current with industry standards and technological advancements in heating systems.
