Job Summary

At Royce-Hall Building Services Ltd we undertake a wide range of building projects. Were expanding and looking for new operatives.

Bricklayers, masonry restoration specialists.

We are looking for a Qualified Bricklayers with some experience. They will be undertaking jobs such as heritage bricklaying, brick repairs, paving rendering and heritage maintenance work.

Driving licence and own mode of transport would be a plus. But most of the work is in central London so will need to travel around also.

Experience in other wet trade would be great.

We have some exciting projects and opportunities to work with other trades and learn new skills.

Wage will depend on Experience and knowledge.

The ideal candidate must posses a strong understanding of heritage masonry techniques and have experience in bricklaying. This role involves working with various materials to construct and repair structures, ensuring that all work meets high standards of quality and safety.

Duties

- Lay bricks, paving and other types of masonry according to specifications.

Working with Lime and other heritage building methods and materials.

- Prepare surfaces for bricklaying by cleaning and applying mortar.

- Use power tools and hand tools effectively to cut and shape materials as required.

- Collaborate with other tradespeople.

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

- Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced workers in masonry techniques.

Experience

- Proven experience as a Bricklayer.

- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to masonry work.

- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations related to masonry.

- Ability to read plans and technical drawings accurately.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks over extended periods.
