Job Description

We seek 3 new experienced drivers (2 years Class 1 preferred), each to drive a dedicated, high spec, well maintained Volvo FH500 .

Ferguson Transport & Shipping is a well-established haulage company with its Head Office, Maintenance Workshop and Logistics Hub based in Fort William, Highlands & Islands.

General haulage rates of pay - 13.46hr basic + 15.23hr over 8 hours + 30 (tax free)

per night out

ADR rates of pay - 14.03hr basic + 15.77hr over 8 hours + 30 (tax free)

per night out

Drivers wanting a shift pattern which includes weekends will earn at the higher rate for all weekend hours.Weekend supplements in place, plus overnight subsistence of 25.43 per night out.

In addition to secure full time employment, we offer the opportunity to drive in spectacular scenery in the Scottish Highlands and across the UK (No London or major city driving).

Our drivers are required to have the following skills and attributes:

HGV Class 1 driving licence and previous general haulage driving experience An excellent understanding and knowledge of the EU & WT Regulations Fantastic customer service skills. Our customers are key to our success therefore our drivers must represent our company to the highest standards Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with all colleagues Ensuring safe and secure loading of cargo at all times To undertake to complete all necessary daily checks / records and complete the appropriate paperwork as required ADR licence is an advantage, however not essential.
