Key Responsibilities
Deliver driver training: Provide induction, refresher, and ongoing training for HGV drivers, covering vehicle operation, safety, and compliance.
Promote safety standards: Ensure all drivers adhere to health & safety regulations, road traffic laws, and company policies.
Assess driver competence: Conduct driving assessments, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback.
Support compliance: Maintain accurate training records and ensure drivers meet DVSA and company requirements.
Encourage best practice: Champion fuel-efficient driving, load security, and customer service excellence.
Collaborate with management: Work closely with transport managers to identify training needs and implement improvement plans.
Continuous improvement: Keep up to date with industry standards, legislation, and innovations in driver training.
Be willing to provide cover as a Class 2 Driver and deliver multi drop as and when required
When will I work?
Full-Time, permanent, Monday - Friday, contracted to 40hrs per week, with start times between 04:00 and 06:00. May require flexibility in working hours to meet operational demands. The role, although based in Bury will require travel as and when required.

Skills and Experience required:
Qualified HGV driver with a valid Cat C+E licence and Driver CPC.
Recognised training qualification (e.g., RTITB, National Register of LGV Instructors, or equivalent).
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate drivers.
Experience in foodservice logistics or multi-drop delivery environments preferred.
Organised and detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping and reporting skills.
Passion for safety and service, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Fully conversant with vehicle telematics systems for improving driver behavior and performance.
High skill level in transport technology improvements, with the ability to implement and train on new systems and innovations.
