Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid commercial driving licence and have a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all road regulations and company policies. Experience operating a Tipper is advantageous.

looking for week days and week ends cover, with the option of days or nights. (Please indicate your preference)

Ideal for candidates who already posses experience, in working in the industry for companies like Holcim, Tarmac etc.

Ideally candidates should also have EPIC Card (MPQC). The work is suited to anyone, looking to do a few shifts, e.g semi retired , has availability during the week. The number of shifts are also flexible, depending on needs of the business and individua.

Responsibilities

Safely operate lorries to transport goods to designated locations Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any mechanical issues Ensure loads are carried out in a safe manner

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid HGV licence Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety
