Brown Brothers in Kirkconnel are currently looking for a full-time Value Added Team Leader in our High Risk department. The hours of work are 6.00am - 2.00pm Monday to Friday. The rate of pay starts at 12.85 per hour and increases to 13.10 per hour once fully trained.

Job Purpose

To ensure productivity and to assist the Value Added Manager in the effective day-to-day running of the Value Added area. Supervision of staff. Ensuring product quality, traceability, throughput, hygiene and Health & Safety Procedures are maintained.

Responsibilities

1. Staff Supervision - To motivate team and maintain working relationship and bring problems back to Supervisor.

2. Health & Safety - To ensure Company Health & Safety are compiled to. Ensuring speciation/allergen control are carried out effectively.

3. Hygiene - To ensure hygiene standards in slicing area. To operate a "clean as you go system".

4. Wastage - To ensure waste material of any description are disposed of hygienically.

5. QC - To ensure non-conforming product is brought to the attention of Supervisor.

6. Packaging - To ensure products are packed in sufficient time and to customer requirements at correct temperature. Seals on bags to be checked regularly. To liaise with Despatch and give effective handover to Backshift in respect to requirements.

7. Associated Paperwork - To ensure all admin is carried out correctly.

8. Targets/Efficiencies - Ensure all daily KPI'S and targets are met.

Hours of Work

6.00am - 2.00pm Monday to Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
