This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team of professionals at Burnt Ash Primary School. We are seeking to appoint a HLTA to support the learning journey of all children within the Additionally Resourced Provision, working with children with complex learning needs. An HLTA qualification is desirable but not essential. What matters most is your ability to demonstrate leadership in the classroom, your passion for helping children to succeed and your commitment to enhancing children's educational journey.

What is the role?




The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high quality learning experiences, working as part of a committed and experienced Inclusion teaching team to:


Lead learning activities for individuals, small groups or whole classes under the guidance of a qualified teacher.


Support planning, preparation and delivery of engaging lessons tailored to meet the unique needs of our children.


Take initiative and a lead role in the setting, ensuring continuity and consistency for the children.


Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups.


Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive nurturing learning environment where children thrive.


Champion inclusion, emotional regulation and pupil voice throughout the school day.

Who are we looking for?



An enthusiastic individual who is deeply committed to supporting the learning and development of all children, with a strong belief in every child's ability to succeed. HLTA status or equivalent experience (Level 4 or above desirable) Candidate will bring a positive, flexible attitude and be confident in supporting children with complex needs, including communication and sensory processing differences. Relevant experience of working with children with SEND such as ASD, developmental delay and other SEND across the primary age range Experience delivering targeted intervention programmes, particularly in communication, speech and language, Occupational Therapy or other programmes of support. A team player who show initiative, builds strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues, and contributes positively to the wider school community. A reflective practitioner who continually looks for ways to improve outcomes for learners. An individual committed to ongoing professional development and who are eager to grow in their role through training and feedback. Someone who upholds a high standard of professionalism and maintains confidentiality is crucial.

Salary range: BR8 25,597 - 27,182 (FTE 32,394 - 34,399)
