As the Hire Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring our logistics run smoothly and efficiently. You'll be the first point of contact for our customers, responsible for managing communication, booking orders, and planning deliveries to meet our high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer incoming calls and emails, providing excellent customer service and support Accurately arrange and book customer orders using the Syrinx computer system Coordinate daily delivery schedules and liaise with suppliers to plan and confirm logistics Manage the movement and maintenance scheduling of our fleet of plant and delivery vehicles Work closely with drivers to assign and optimise delivery routes for maximum efficiency Maintain clear and up-to-date transport records and reports Upselling and offering additional services where relevant.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in a transport, logistics or dispatch coordination role (preferred) Strong IT skills with confidence using systems like Syrinx (training can be provided) Excellent communication and organisational abilities A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making Knowledge of local and regional geography is a plus
