We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Hire Desk Controller to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the coordination and management of staffing requests, ensuring smooth communication between hiring managers, temporary staff providers, and internal teams. Duties
Manage the end-to-end process of staffing requests, including verifying requisitions and coordinating with staffing agencies or internal recruitment teams
Ensure accurate processing of invoices related to temporary staffing, maintaining compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) guidelines
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
Oversee cash management activities, including monitoring disbursements and reconciling bank statements using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks
Prepare detailed financial reports related to staffing costs, budget variances, and regulatory reporting requirements for non-profit or governmental organizations
Perform account analysis and account reconciliation tasks regularly to support GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) compliance and accurate financial statements
Collaborate with finance teams on forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis to optimize resource allocation
Skills
Strong understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting
Proficiency in financial software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms
Knowledge of regulatory standards including SOX compliance, IFRS standards, and governmental accounting practices
Experience with cash management, payroll processing, and accounts payable/receivable functions
Excellent financial report writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis efficiently
Strong analytical skills combined with solid financial acumen and technical accounting expertise
