The School are seeking a confident and compassionate

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

to join their dedicated team and help deliver high-quality support across the curriculum.

Key responsibilities



The HLTA will support students at the KS3 Therapeutic Centre and KS4 Alternative Provision by:





Planning and Delivering Science, numeracy, literacy and PSHE interventions tailored to students' needs. Support and lead planned lessons under the guidance of teaching staff Deliver targeted interventions and small group sessions in core subjects and life skills Maths, Science Provide

1:1 support

for pupils with EHCPs, tailoring learning to individual needs Use

positive behaviour strategies

and de-escalation techniques to support emotional regulation Assist with curriculum planning and classroom preparation Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and parents/carers to ensure consistent pupil support Promote an inclusive, respectful, and safe classroom environment

You Will Need To Have:

Training in Team Teach, positive behaviour support, or trauma-informed approaches. Knowledge of restorative practices and therapeutic interventions. Previous experience working with children or young people with

SEN and/or SEMH

Excellent communication skills and a proactive, child-centred approach The ability to work flexibly and independently across different age groups and needs A calm and patient attitude, with strong behaviour management skills
