Your Role:
As Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in the growth and delivery of our seasonal holiday camps. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational planning and strategic oversight of all our locations. Your role will include:
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Recruitment & Onboarding:
Sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding high-quality seasonal staff.
Training & Development:
Designing and delivering engaging staff training sessions (including safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour management).
Safeguarding & Compliance:
Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the camps, ensuring policies and procedures are rigorously followed.
Programme Planning:
Creating engaging and well-structured timetables tailored to each venue and age group.
Venue Management:
Coordinating venue logistics and acting as the main point of contact for host schools/centres.
Operations Oversight:
Ensuring smooth day-to-day running of camps, including compliance, safety, and communication protocols.
Quality Assurance:
Conducting site visits, monitoring staff performance, and implementing improvements.
Parent Communication:
Supporting queries, feedback, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Resource Management:
Overseeing equipment, uniform, and stock allocation across sites.
Incident Response:
Managing escalations and supporting camp managers in high-pressure situations.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in a leadership or operations role within childcare, education, or activity-based settings.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple locations at once.
Strong understanding of safeguarding and compliance (DSL qualification desirable).
A natural people-person with great leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, confident decisions.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across sites.
Desirable:
First Aid qualification
Degree in Sports Management, Education, Childcare or related field
Experience managing Ofsted-registered settings
