Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a background in home care or care homes. This role is crucial in ensuring that clients receive the highest level of care and assistance tailored to their individual needs. Due to service user preferences only a female carer is needed.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders. Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with clients and their families, ensuring all needs are met effectively. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition, reporting these to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Communicate clearly with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure a cohesive approach to care. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment for clients. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Experience

Previous experience in home care or within a care home setting is preferred but not mandatory. Strong IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively with team members. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with clients and families. A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients as part of the role.
