We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in care home or home care settings and possess strong communication skills. As a Home Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in managing their care plans, ensuring that all needs are met effectively. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations to promote emotional well-being. Help with household tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring safe transportation. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding any changes in the client's condition or needs. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication is an advantage. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation duties. Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
