We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home care assistants to provide essential care and assistance to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care settings, including nursing homes and hospice care, and possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they support. This role involves various responsibilities, including meal preparation, medication administration, and behaviour management, while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

The role will be 20 hours per week with view to full time hours
Responsibilities
Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes
Assist with meal preparation, ensuring dietary needs are met.
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects.
Support clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility assistance.
Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote positive interactions..
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Requirements
Must be a DRIVER and have access to a car as the job involves travelling from house to house around Leeds
Previous experience in home care, nursing homes, or hospice care is preferred.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety practices.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
Valid driving licence is must for transporting clients.
Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed.
