We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Team Leader to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of the care team, ensuring that all clients receive high-quality support tailored to their individual needs. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring staff, coordinating care plans, and fostering a positive environment that promotes the well-being of both clients and team members.

Duties

Lead and manage a team of care staff, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional service delivery. Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Conduct regular assessments of client needs and progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Facilitate training sessions and professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organisational policies regarding health and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of client care activities, incidents, and staff performance for reporting purposes. Foster a supportive environment that encourages open communication among team members and promotes client dignity and respect.

Requirements

Previous experience in a leadership role within a care setting is essential. Strong understanding of person-centred care principles and best practices in the health and social care sector. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and colleagues. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative in problem-solving situations. Relevant qualifications in health or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) are desirable but not mandatory. A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others is essential.
