Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers with a DRIVER's LICENCE to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the best possible care in a comfortable and familiar environment. This role is vital in delivering personalised care tailored to each individual's unique needs.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Support clients with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and behaviour management strategies. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.

Experience

Candidates should have prior experience in caregiving or related fields such as:

Assisted living facilities or nursing homes. Senior care, hospice care, or home care settings. Experience with first aid and medication administration is highly desirable. A background in childcare may be beneficial for working with families requiring support for both children and elderly relatives.
