We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to clients in their own homes. This role involves delivering personalised care to individuals with diverse needs, including elderly clients, those with disabilities, or individuals recovering from illness. Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Provide specialised care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
Support patients with medication administration and health monitoring in accordance with care plans
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and preferences
Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote safety and well-being
Offer companionship and emotional support to minimise feelings of loneliness or isolation
Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed
Perform first aid when necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies
Support clients with activities of daily living in assisted living or nursing home settings when required
Qualifications
Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of patient care techniques including dementia, Alzheimer's, and senior care is preferred
Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous
Valid driving licence and clean driving record preferred for client transportation roles
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage behavioural challenges effectively
Physical capability for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility tasks
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in caregiving and supporting vulnerable individuals
Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentiality
