Salary: 33,400-41,800 plus 750 Car allowance (if required)




Contract type: Permanent

Home Ownership Officer (Section 20)

to help us deliver high-quality services to our leaseholders and shared owners.


This is a specialist role, providing end-to-end customer and administrative support around

Section 20 consultations

. You ll work cross-functionally to ensure we comply with legislation, recover costs efficiently, and improve customer satisfaction ?" while also supporting wider homeownership functions including lease extensions, resales, and legal queries.


What You`ll Be Doing




Lead and manage

Section 20 consultations

in line with legal requirements and best practice. Support and advise colleagues across GreenSquareAccord on leasehold issues. Manage a wide range of homeowner services including lease breaches, alterations, resales, lease extensions, and service charge queries. Investigate and resolve complex leasehold matters, sometimes involving tribunals or third-party landlords. Represent GSA in external meetings with managing agents, solicitors, local authorities, and resident groups. Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth handover of new developments and regeneration sites. Identify and address compliance, safety, and ASB issues within the homeowner portfolio. Promote customer engagement and handle complaints with empathy and professionalism

What We`re Looking For




Essential:




Good general education (A-levels/NVQ3 equivalent or above). Strong knowledge of

leasehold and housing legislation

, including the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002. Proven experience of

Section 20 consultation processes

, lease interpretation, and property/estate management. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to resolve complex and sometimes contentious issues. Strong organisational and time management skills. Confident communicator with the ability to engage customers and stakeholders at all levels.

Desirable:




Membership of CIH or similar professional body. Experience managing service charges or working with managing agents. Familiarity with housing systems such as Orchard or MIS.
