We are looking for two new

Home Quality Assessors

to join our team at Freebridge Community Housing. In this vital role, you'll help ensure our homes and communal spaces meet the highest standards by carrying out detailed property condition surveys and assessments. Your work will directly contribute to the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our residents.

About Freebridge Community Housing:



Our Freebridge Community Housing goal is to provide affordable, safe, and quality homes for current and future generations, for those who need a place to call home. Freebridge was set up in 2006, to receive the transfer of the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk's housing stock. We now have over 7500 properties across west and north Norfolk, in addition to building new homes for social and affordable rent, and to support those who want to move into shared home ownership. We've had numerous achievements, including delivering our tenants' promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living. What you'll be doing:



Conduct a programme of property condition surveys, including Housing, Health, Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments. Complete detailed condition reports with recommendations for improvements and defect resolution. Deliver a high-performing, customer-centric service. Assist in compiling detailed property survey programmes and undertake scheduled surveys to capture up-to-date stock information and HHSRS data. Identify defects during the survey that breach statutory and/or regulatory requirements and recommend remedial actions. Ensure defect work identified during surveys is communicated to the relevant teams for action. Undertake Energy Performance Certificate assessments as requested. Monitor and ensure completion of all referred defect resolution work within required timeframes. Maintain accurate data relating to property surveys and assessments in the Asset database. Provide technical advice and recommendations as needed. Assist in the development of systems to enhance asset data and reporting, and in the establishment of processes to monitor data quality and risk.

What we're looking for:



Experience in conducting onsite stock condition data surveys and HHSRS assessment programmes. Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of building construction and regulations. Skilled in the gathering, analysis, and interpretation of technical data. Excellent relationship-building skills with colleagues, residents, and other stakeholders. Ability to prioritise conflicting demands under pressure. Good written and verbal communication skills. HND in Building Surveying or equivalent. Membership in RICS, CIOB, or equivalent. HHSRS qualification or working towards EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) or working towards (desirable) Full UK driving license and use of a vehicle insured for business use.
