Fixatex is a 25-year-old company delivering electrical services, fire alarms, and emergency lighting to clients all over London and the Southeast. We're a family owned and operated firm with our head office, warehouse, and dedicated training centre in Hertford.

We build these connections when ensuring residents homes are electrically safe, when replacing lighting to make estates safer at night and sometimes just over a cup of tea when talking to a residents committee.


General Role Description







We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Assessor to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. This hybrid role involves working between our company offices and from home.



In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing certification/reports for domestic and small commercial electrical installations completed by our engineers. You will assess these certifications against notes and photographic evidence recorded within our job management system.



This position is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of electrical regulations.





Your KPIs will be as follows:




Accuracy & Quality:

Consistently ensuring reviewed certifications are accurate, complete, and fully compliant with BS 7671 and internal quality standards.

Productivity:

Achieving a targeted number of certification reviews per day, maintaining both speed and accuracy.

Responsibilities and Duties:




Reviewing electrical certification (Electrical Installation Condition Reports, Electrical Installation Certificates, Electrical Minor Works Certificates and Domestic Fire Alarm Certificates) to ensure accuracy and compliance with the latest edition of BS 7671. Verifying that completed works meet client specifications and company standards by cross-referencing engineer notes, images, and certifications. Ensuring all documentation is completed to a high standard and submitted correctly. Ensure safe working procedures in accordance with the current health and safety regulations and all other relevant regulations. Complete building control notifications Communicate with engineers and company Qualified Supervisors to resolves issues identified when reviewing certification

Required Skills, Attributes & Experience







You will have:


Good knowledge of the electrical industry including electrical and building regulations Knowledge and understanding of the current requirements of BS7671 Experience in, and knowledge of the test and inspection process Experience reviewing certification completed by others A 'team first' attitude Good IT skills Good organisation/ planning skills Good communication skills Positive attitude and time keeping



Qualifications






City & Guilds level 3 in electrical installation (or equivalent) City and Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) City and Guilds 2382-18 (or equivalent)

Please note you must have held a full UK driving license for at least 12 Months

Travel and Hours







To perform your duties, you may be asked to travel to locations around the United Kingdom to undertake assignments. You will be required to work from Monday to Friday for 8 hours a day with an hour's un-paid break, with the core hours of work being 8:00am to 17:00pm; however, timings can be made more flexible in certain circumstances. In addition to your normal hours, you will also be required to work overtime as dictated by the needs of the business, with reasonable notice. This could include un-sociable hours such as evenings and weekends.
