Job Overview

We are seeking reliable and skilled taxi drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting SEND children safely and efficiently, ensuring timely, caring transportation, while adhering to all traffic regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the child's needs.

Duties

Operate various types of vehicles Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order and report any mechanical issues. Communicate effectively with family members and children Maintain accurate records of journeys , including mileage, fuel etc Assist in loading and unloading children Follow all safety protocols while driving and during loading/unloading processes to ensure a safe working environment for everyone

Experience

Previous experience as a care driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with all driving regulations and best practices is essential. Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues on the road. Experience working in a care setting is beneficial but not mandatory. A valid driving and taxi licence appropriate for the vehicle type being operated is required.
Full DBS will be required
