Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and professional Taxi Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to customer service. As a Taxi Driver, you will be responsible for safe and caring transportation for children, potentially with complex needs, on home to school runs. Our drivers work Mondays through to Fridays (currently term time only), while maintaining a clean and well-kept vehicle.

Estimated run times are: 7:30 am - 9:30 am (morning school run) and from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm (afternoon school run).

As a driver, you may be paired with a local passenger assistant, dependant on the requirements of individual jobs.

Work is contracted and therefore regular and reliable.

Duties

Drive passengers to their destinations in a safe and timely manner. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and regulations. Communicate effectively with passengers to ensure their comfort and satisfaction during the journey. Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and in good working order. Assist passengers with heavy lifting of luggage or other items as needed. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Manage payment transactions accurately and provide receipts as required. Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to management.

Qualifications:

Hold a valid UK driving licence Hold a Medway licence for private hire or restricted private hire Own your own vehicle Pass an enhanced criminal record (DBS) check, as this role involves working with children, young people, and vulnerable adults. Meet Group 2 medical standards to comply with licensing requirements. Have the right to work in the UK.
