Toddington Nurseries is a contract grower for the Farplants Group and produce over 2 million plants per year for Garden Centres and Waitrose.
Farplants is one of the largest suppliers of plants to Garden Centres in the UK.
We are now recruiting for Horticultural Nursery Worker with a twist. During the peak season the role will be to help support our operations team working on our production lines in potting, preparing and lifting plants ready for despatch and bed prep.
During quieter days the focus will be working with the Cultural teams in watering, weeding, pest and disease monitoring, spacing and trimming.
This position is from Mid - January till September, with the possibility of a full-time position for the right candidate.
The position can be physically demanding at times, and working in Glasshouses and Polyhouses in all weather.
No prior experience required; training will be provided. Forklift licence would be an advantage.
If successful in obtaining a full-time position you will be required to undertake spray licences (PA1, PA6 and PA2) and hold a valid UK driving licence. We will consider applications that are/will learn to drive.
Interviews will be held early January 2026.
The Nursery operates 7 days; weekend working will be required.
