About You
You will have:
A passion for providing high quality customer service in a hospitality environment.
Relevant experience in a front facing hospitality role, but above all be eager to learn and develop your skills in the industry.
A desire for a long-term opportunity and be keen to contribute to the development and growth of the business.
Good team skills
High degrees of reliability and a willingness to 'muck in' where needed across the business (we are a small business so versatility is key).
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Have some basic computing skills
Have a positive work ethic and be prepared to work variable hours.
Bring enthusiasm, integrity and positivity to our team.
We are open to considering a candidates with varying types and depth of experience. We particularly keen to hear from candidates who can bring something new to the business. Flexibility is important and we would interested in candidates with experience in more than one of the following:
Restaurant front of house, particularly in a fine dining environment
Hotel reception
Housekeeping
Bar work, with knowledge of fine wines and spirits
Cooking skills at the level of a breakfast chef
Hospitality/restaurant business marketing/social media
The Role
There is considerable flexibility to tailor the role to the breadth and depth of experience of the successful candidate. However, as part of a small team the post holder will need to be able to work flexibly across several areas in the business, including reception, restaurant, housekeeping and business administration. Depending upon experience and needs of the business, responsibilities could include a mix of the following:
Supporting our lunch, afternoon tea and evening dining service - depending upon experience this could include leading front of house service
Supporting breakfast service
Supporting Housekeeping in turnover and cleaning of rooms and common areas.
Preparing drinks
Liaising and working closely with the kitchen
Welcoming and receiving guests
Dealing with guest enquiries, including sharing in the out of hours cover
Breakfast cook (this would be experience dependent)
Sharing the out of hours on-call (this is an essential element and why the role is strictly a live-in position).
Promoting the business through a range of marketing/social media channels
