We are currently seeking an experienced hotel
Night Manager
to head up our fabulous Nights team on a full-time basis, 5 nights over 7. Our ideal candidate has worked in a similar type property and will thrive on the successful running of this iconic 4 Star hotel.

The Role:
As Night Manager, you will report directly to the Rooms Division Manager and Reception Manager and will take overall responsibility for Hotel night duties and security. The successful candidate will need to be guest and task focussed, ensuring that accomplishment of duties is a team effort. You will need to have proven experience in Front Office/Reception at Senior Supervisory/Management level within Hotels and most importantly, have a positive, driven attitude. If you have worked with OnQ reservations systems before, then we really want to hear from you!
Key Tasks will involve the following:
- Leading and working with the Night Porter team to ensure completion of night walks, cleaning duties and maintaining high standards of customer service at all times.
- To be able to manage a team effectively, dealing with staff requests fairly yet with a consistent approach.
- To train the existing night team and develop their skill set through training and mentorship with the support of the Rooms Division Manager and HR Manager.
- Setting up action plans with the Rooms Division Manager Manager to ensure that departmental objectives/targets are consistently met and that the team are proactive and engaged.
- Ensuring clear and straightforward communication is maintained with all other operational departments and establishing a thorough handover to the day team.
- To be responsible for ensuring that there is a high standard of public relations with all guests, dealing with any complaints or compliments and reporting them to the Senior Management Team.
- Completion of the Night Audit.
- To ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to in line with Company Brand standards and Health and Safety legislation.
- To lead the Nights team in case of fire evacuation or emergency.
- To mentor, train and motivate the Night Team. Consistently monitoring and providing direct or formal feedback on both positive and negative performance in line with HR policies and best practice.
