We have currently an exciting vacancy at Wynyard Hall for the role of an Exceptional Night Porter

The Role:

This is a varied role which includes taking responsibility for guest enquiries, general reception duties, answering the telephone and ensuring all relevant night porter duties are carried out. Security of the building, the marquee and surrounding areas are a key aspect of this role. You will be responsible for ensuring guest and employee safety during the night shift.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the safety and security of all guests, employees and the hotel at all times.? Carry out full security checks throughout the night, ensuring the security of the premises and the safety of our guests, any discrepancies must be reported according to hotel procedures? Have full and up to date knowledge of the fire panel and emergency fire evacuation procedure? Operate the phones to company standard and convey all messages correctly? Carry out assigned operational tasks e.g. check out bills, invoices, preparation of morning newspapers, provision of early morning calls? Provide resident bar service when required with prevailing licensing laws? Clean public areas and set up meeting & function rooms as directed? Maintain operational standards to the highest possible level in respect of service, hygiene and health and safety? Any other duties that may be requested by the reception / operations manager. While covering security shifts you would be responsible for driving the security vehicle around the estate and reporting any incidents /concerns to the security office.

All candidates must hold a full clean driving licence and a valid SIA licence would be advantageous.

Previous experience of Hotel work would be desireable.

Job Types: Permanent, Part-time

Pay: From 10.42 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 16 per week
