4 on / 4 off 22:00 - 07:00

exceptional Night Porter

to join our dedicated team. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and security of the hotel throughout the night.

About the Role

As a Night Porter, you will be under the guidance of the Front of House Manager and take responsibility for the hotel during the night shift. You will ensure that all guests are safe, comfortable, and cared for, while maintaining the high standards expected at Lanelay Hall Hotel & Spa.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain public areas to Lanelay Hall & tRiBe Spa standards at all times. Ensure the security of hotel premises, including guest rooms, public areas and staff areas at all times. Lock and unlock designated areas at the correct times each night. Assist overnight guests with any issues or requests. Maintain cleanliness and presentation throughout the property. Support with general cleaning duties to prepare for arriving and departing guests. Deliver exceptional customer service and contribute to a smooth-running night operation.

Administrative & Night Audit Duties

Complete nightly audit procedures and balance daily transactions using Guestline Rezlynx PMS. Prepare and print daily reports for different departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Management. Manage late check-ins and early departures, updating guest profiles and payment details as needed. Respond promptly to email and telephone enquiries received overnight. Complete nightly handover reports to ensure a smooth transition for the morning team.

Essential Skills & Attributes:

Strong administration and customer service skills. Confident using computerised booking and payment systems (Guestline, ResDiary, TryBe - training provided). Excellent written and verbal communication. Friendly and professional telephone manner. Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks. A team player with a positive attitude and commitment to personal development.

Desirable:

Previous experience in a similar Night Porter or Front of House role. Experience using Guestline Rezlynx PMS (training provided if not).
