Job Title: Front Office Supervisor

Department: Front Office

Reports to: General Manager

Location: Abbotsford Hotel

Role Purpose:

The role involves managing all aspects of guest arrivals , departures, and in-house services while maintaining a visible presence in the reception and front of house areas. The front office manager will also work closely with guest and clients booking the hotels event spaces -conducting show-arounds, completing booking paperwork accurately, and providing a seamless handover to the events or management team. Strong attention to detail, excellent organization, skills and a calm approachable manner are essential.

Above all, this is a role for a capable, service-driven leader who takes ownership of the guest experience, empowers their team, and ensures every visitor to the hotel feels welcome, supported, and valued.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Day-to-Day Operations Lead the reception desk and front office team on daily shifts. Ensure a welcoming, efficient check-in and check-out process. Handle guest queries, special requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.

Team Management Support, coach and train reception staff. Manage rotas and shift cover to ensure adequate front desk coverage. Conduct briefings to update the team on VIPs, occupancy, and any changes.


Guest Service Be visible and approachable to guests throughout the day. Monitor standards of service, room allocations, and guest satisfaction levels

Resolve issues or escalate where necessary to maintain a positive experience.

Administration & Reporting

Complete daily banking, shift handovers, and end-of-day procedures.

Maintain accurate records of occupancy, revenue, and guest feedback.

Ensure all front desk systems are kept up to date (reservations, guest profiles, notes).

Liaison with Departments Work closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance and F&B to ensure room readiness and smooth guest stays. Communicate guest needs and special arrangements in a timely manner.

Standards & Procedures

Ensure brand standards, health and safety, GDPR, and cash handling procedures are always followed.

Train new starters on reception procedures and guest service.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Uniform provided.

May be required to act as Duty Manager on occasion.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.75 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
