About the role
... This is a new opportunity, suited to an individual with experience of working in a busy reception department within a 4 star property. Reporting to the Reception Manager, you will have responsibility for maintaining an excellent first and last impression for hotel guests and external visitors. Role responsibilities will include:
Duties will include:
Maintain the front of house area to the highest standards at all times
Ensure guests are greeted in a polite and friendly manner offered all available products and services
Deal with incoming enquiries via email, telephone and in-person
Booking and updating reservations for hotel bedrooms, the Connaught Brasserie, private functions & Bluewater Spa
Distributing enquiries to other departments and colleagues as required
Completing administrative tasks as required such as filing and photocopying
Preparing room bills and ensuring prompt payments
Assisting guests with checkout procedures including payment of bills and deposit returns where appropriate
Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
Remain calm under pressure and deal with customer issues/ complaints - escalating where necessary
Building rapport with both colleagues and customers maintaining positive relationships
Working efficiently with a positive attitude, contributing to a positive working environment at all times
Able to multitask an show flexibility on tasks to support the wider business
Provide support to other team members wherever necessary
About the person...
Ideally you will have experience of working in a similar role
Experience of using Guestline software would prove highly advantageous however full training will be provided
Well presented and takes pride in their appearance
Organised and methodical with good attention to detail
Strong communicator with the ability to engage with people from all backgrounds
