We're looking for a positive, freindly & experienced Receptionist to join the Speech House Team. The role is a to cover 4 shifts a week, and holidays when needed.
The Reception team are the first point of contact for our guests when they arrive, so we're after someone friendly, used to being in a customer facing role, and able to think on their feet and take initiative with our guest requests during their stay.
The role includes but is not limited to; meeting and greeting customers, taking reservations over the phone, daily cashing up of tills and banking, taking bookings for small functions and events, looking after guest requests and enquiries, responding to emails, phone calls and messages from customers.
We have 35 bedrooms, operate a fine dining restaurant, an informal dining area in the Orangery, and function facilities for weddings and conferences.
We pride ourselves on our reputation for being an independently run hotel, and we care about our staff. We offer training and development at all levels, including NVQs and college courses in food and bar management, as well as on the job training.
Variable shifts are offered but the candidate must be available to work weekends, and bank holidays. This role would be for shifts 7-3pm or 3-10pm.
