Job Overview
To provide a welcoming and efficient first point of contact for guests, ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out. The receptionist handles reservations, manages guest inquiries, processes payments, and coordinates with other departments to meet guest needs, contributing to the smooth and professional operation of the hotel.

Main Responsibilities
Provides an effective, efficient service at all times to standards in line with company procedures
Anticipates guests needs, be aware of all written and spoken requests and carry these out in a courteous helpful manner
Be the first point of contact for all guest feedback and enquiries both face to face and via phone/email
Provides guests with a service that sells whenever the possibility arises to maximize hotel sales
Ensure efficient, effective communication between departments and reception and that an effective handover between shifts takes place
Be fully conversant and able to operate the hotel front office system
Ensure all reception duties are carried out to a high standard in accordance with hotel and company procedures
Follow departmental security procedures around the banking of cash and maintaining the float level of the till/safe
Ensure that the handover procedures are followed in the transferring of all relevant information daily.
Check billing instructions and guest credit for accuracy and deal with cash and credit transactions in accordance with hotel and company procedures
Contract & Hours
Permanent position
Full-time 37.5 hours per week, shifts ranging between 7am and 11pm, 5 out of 7 days per week.
12.70 per hour, 24,765 per annum.
