The Marker Hotel in central London is looking for a friendly hotel receptionist to join our team. Here, you'll be the welcoming face of our charming, family-run hotel, set in one of London's most vibrant neighborhoods. We have 15 bedrooms in a beautiful, vintage building.
Paid Holiday:
28 days including bank holidays
Shifts:
40 hours per week at 13.50/hour.
Available to work any day of the week, including weekends.
Example shifts:
Morning shift: 8am-5pm
Evening shift: 5pm-11pm
Flexibility in shift timings can be given to the right candidate.
What your role will be:
Give guests a warm, friendly welcome.
Help with serving breakfast to start guests' day off right
Make check-ins and check-outs easy and smooth
Answer calls and guest questions with a helpful attitude
Share tips on hotel services and the best local spots to explore
Handle bookings, changes, and cancellations with care
Keep the front desk tidy and guest details updated
Work closely with housekeeping and maintenance to keep guests happy
Pass along guest feedback to management to keep improving their experience
Requirements:
The successful applicant will have:
Previous experience in a customer-focused industry
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Friendly, approachable personality.
Excellent phone manner and communication skills
Passion for delivering an amazing experience to our customers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual skills are highly desirable.
Competent level of IT proficiency
