As the first point of contact, you will ensure smooth operations at the front desk and deliver memorable stays from check-in to check-out.
Duties & Responsibilities
Greet and assist all guests warmly upon arrival.
Handle all reception operations including check-in, check-out, currency exchange, invoicing, room allocations, reservations, and concierge services.
Respond to guest enquiries and requests, providing personalised, attentive service.
Maintain high standards of customer service in line with hotel quality expectations.
Assist the Front Office Manager with handling and resolving guest complaints.
Coordinate effectively with Housekeeping, F&B, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Maintain front desk security, including key management and safeguarding guest belongings.
Operate the hotel's switchboard, providing information and directing calls appropriately.
Manage the hotel's general mailbox by replying to and redirecting emails.
Carry out administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records and submitting operational reports on time.
Keep reception and entrance areas clean, welcoming, and professionally presented.
Ensure all front office equipment remains clean, functional, and in good working order.
About You
You will be representing the hotel on behalf of guests and working closely with the team, so you should demonstrate:
Social, engaging, and motivated personality.
Flexibility and the ability to respond positively to varied work situations.
Excellent communication skills and professional presentation.
Additional language skills (advantageous).
Strong attention to detail and focus on anticipating guest needs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PMS.
Working Hours
Full-time role, 40 hours per week.
Rotating shift pattern:
7:00am-3:00pm
or
3:00pm-11:00pm
, including weekends and bank holidays.
