We're looking for an organised and welcoming Receptionist to join our friendly team at The Old Mill Inn, an award-winning hotel, bar & restaurant in the heart of Pitlochry.
As the first point of contact for our guests, you'll play a key role in creating memorable experiences from the moment of enquiry to check-out. You'll handle reservations, assist with guest needs, and support the wider team in ensuring smooth daily operations across front-of-house and administration.
Daily tasks will include:
Handling bookings via telephone, email, and online platforms
Organising guest check-in documentation and pre-arrival arrangements
Providing a warm welcome and professional check-in/check-out service
Managing dinner reservations and any special guest requests
Supporting the Marketing Team with seasonal offers and promotions
Performing administrative tasks including filing, managing emails, accepting mail, ordering office supplies, and keeping reception tidy and organised
Overseeing breakfast service and morning setup
Assisting on the bar or restaurant floor during lunch service and as required
Delivering outstanding guest service across all touchpoints -- phone, email, and in person
Maintaining a positive, proactive, and professional approach at all times
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys providing warm, attentive service and thrives in a busy hospitality environment.
Essential attributes:
Smart, professional, and presentable appearance
Excellent spoken and written English
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong administrative and organisational abilities
IT literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, Internet applications)
High attention to detail and accuracy
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Eligible to work in the UK
Desirable attributes:
Previous hospitality or front-of-house experience
Basic marketing skills such as social media management or photography
Experience working in a bar or restaurant environment
