The Albany Hotel is a charming boutique 3-star hotel nestled in a picturesque location in the historic heart of St. Andrews. Under new ownership, the hotel is a go-to destination for golf enthusiasts, weekend explorers, and locals. Our recently renovated vibrant reception area blends tradition with modern charm, creating a stylish and welcoming environment full of energy.

We're looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Hotel Receptionist to join our team full time. You'll welcome golfers fresh off the course, couples escaping for a romantic weekend, and locals popping in for drinks in our newly opened tranquil beer garden.

Job Summary

Our Reception team are the first point of contact for our guests, and we aim to make them feel at home from the moment they walk through the door. This is a role full of energy, variety, and people - perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. Duties

Be a welcoming face in the hotel, greeting guests with a smile and a professional attitude Handle guest check-ins and check-outs with efficiency Process payments ensuring all room billing is correct Create and manage reservations (phone, email, online platforms) accurately Work closely with housekeeping and F&B teams to ensure a seamless guest journey Share your knowledge of the local area and hotel services Serve guests in our snug bar & beer garden Support day-to-day operations, problem-solve, and keep things running smoothly

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is required - Hotel experience is preferred but not essential, as we're happy to train the right person! A friendly, approachable manner with great communication skills Excellent attention to detail Computer skills (experience with reservation systems is a plus)
