to join their expanding central reservations team. This position will be based within our head office at The Gailes Hotel and Spa.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all guests are booked in a seamless and professional manner. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of hospitality, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

As a
Reservation Assistant
you will work closely with the Reservations Manager and Assistant Manager, as well as the Group Revenue Manager, to increase sales, achieve budgets and forecasts. You will be part of a sales-driven culture within the reservations department.
Main responsibilities:
Handle phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, addressing guest needs or directing calls as necessary.
Managing all reservations; hotel, spa, golf and restaurant reservations
Manage group reservations
Spa diary management, ensuring all guests are booked efficiently and that they all have the correct information to enjoy a relaxing day at Si! Spa.
Administrative tasks - daily procedures, reservation checks, ensuring all back up documents and billing are set correctly.
Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to provide accurate information to guests.
Expert knowledge of all bedroom types, and offerings for each venue
Arrange and deliver hotel show rounds in a professional and knowledgeable manner
Maintain the accuracy of the in-house reservations system
Reply to all booking enquires that are received via telephone, email, venue directly or via RFP, ensuring a prompt reply. Company policy 24 hours turnaround
Skills
Strong phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Advanced knowledge of a property management systems; we have just successfully transitioned all venues to Guest Line
Experience with a spa software would be advantageous, however extensive training will be provided. The spa software used is Trybe
Previous experience in hospitality, hotel or spa reservations team or guest experience is preferred but not essential.
Previous experience managing and administrating room bookings, spa bookings and restaurant bookings would be preferred
A friendly disposition with a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Great team player and effective communicator.
Flexible - Department operates from 8am - 8pm, 7 days per week. Shifts will vary within these hours and weekend work will be expected.
