Meikleour Estate is looking for a

Housekeeper for their award winning boutique hotel The Meikleour Arms (AA BEST ACCOMMODATION SCOTLAND 2022, BEST PUB SCOTLAND 2019, The Daily Telegraph top UK hotels 2020).

The Meikleour Arms (4 Star Gold, 1 Rosette) has been in the same family for 200 years. It attracts a varied customer base all year long: locals, salmon anglers, golfers, shooting parties and holiday makers.

You will join the existing housekeeping team cleaning and taking care of our beautiful rooms and holiday cottages. Our award winning accommodations are praised for their stylish design and impeccable standard of cleaning. Our housekeepers are proud of their work and are true ambassadors of the estate.

Hours of work:

Typically 9am to 4pm, around 20h per week.
We will consider in priority candidates able to commit to some weekend shifts and those who may be looking for additional hours in our restaurant (Breakfast Server).

Package: very competitive!

Hourly pay = 15.13/hour (13.50/hour rate+ holiday pay) and in addition you will receive tips from around 1.50/hour

= a total hourly rate of 16.63

Note about gratuities (tips):

We use an HMRC compliant tronc system which ensures all of the hotel and restaurant's tips go to all of the staff. On average, staff can expect 1.50/ hour expected tips which combined is a very attractive package!

Requirements:

You must have an eye for detail and experience in setting up bedrooms is essential. Experience gained in quality hotels would be looked on favourably but training will be provided.

You have a full driving license suitable for the UK, for the use of the estate laundry van to service our off-site cottages.

Notes:

We are in a rural area and public transport is not available to the Meikleour village for the early start. Having your own mode of transport is deemed essential.*
